Mario Arvelo at FAO

The Dominican Republic has risen to positions of prominence and prestige in the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), whose objective is to achieve the eradication of hunger and malnutrition throughout the world. Since 2019, the country has held a seat on the FAO Council representing Latin America and the Caribbean, a historic milestone achieved during Mario Arvelo‘s tenure as Ambassador.
